Where High Society Dining Meets Hip-Hop Culture
Flavor & Flow was an intimate, theatrical tasting experience where luxe presentation collided with the rhythm of hip-hop. Set inside Lumina Studio in Durham, this one-night gathering transformed the space into a curated lounge — part high-society dinner party, part creative’s living room layered with records, sneakers, florals, and moody uplighting in deep purples, royal blues, and rich berry tones.
With limited seating, the evening unfolded as a thoughtfully paced three-course experience — appetizer, entrée, and dessert — each crafted by a featured guest chef and inspired by a specific hip-hop artist or musical moment. Vegetable-forward dishes rooted in regional soul and Southern remix influences were paired with craft cocktails and vibrant mocktail spritzes designed to complement both flavor and feeling.

Between courses, chefs shared the stories behind their creations while short musical excerpts and live moments shaped the atmosphere. A featured performance, curated beverage pairings, and thoughtfully layered design details — from elevated table settings to immersive visual moments — blurred the line between dinner and performance art.
