Where CULTURE Lives.

Where COMMUNITY Shops.

This years Melanin Marketplace was a vibrant celebration of Driver Street in Durham—honoring its legacy while spotlighting the power and creativity of Black-owned businesses. Set in one of Durham’s historic corridors, this immersive marketplace invited the community to Buy Black, connect intentionally, and pour back into local entrepreneurs who are shaping our culture and economy.

Guests explored a curated lineup of Black-owned brands across food, wellness, art, fashion, and lifestyle, while enjoying an atmosphere grounded in love, culture, and community pride. More than a market, Melanin Marketplace was a space to gather, discover, and celebrate Black excellence—right here on Driver Street.
