At Taste of BLK, we proudly celebrate Black culture through the flavors and fellowship that bring us together. As a Black and Woman-owned business, we are dedicated to showcasing the richness and diversity of our heritage with every bite. Taste of BLK isn’t just a business — it’s a movement. A movement to uplift, empower, and celebrate the beauty of Black culture through the universal language of food. Experiences based in North Carolina and Florida.

About Our Events
We host a few events throughout the year with limited tickets available to keep the setting intimate. Our goal is to feature BLK chefs and vendors + give them the space to share the story behind their food and products.
Something intentional is coming. She Blooms is an intimate gathering for women ready to connect, reflect, and bloom together. The room is being set, the table is being prepared, and you are going to want to be there.

ADULT RECESS FAREWELL BRUNCH
The weekend was full. The room was warm. And the table was set with intention. Taste of BLK partnered with Let's Get Social Raleigh to close out the 4th Annual Adult Recess Festival Weekend with a farewell brunch that gave guests one last reason to linger.
TASTE OF BLUES
Under the glow of blue light, guests stepped into a world where every note, flavor, and glance told a story. Taste of Blues unfolded as a living poem — part juke joint, part dream — complete with live blues, immersive theatre, handcrafted drinks, and a surprise appearance that set the night in motion. It was an evening where sound met soul, and the Blues came alive in every heartbeat.
TASTE OF COLORS
Our most recent Taste of COLORS event was a sold-out sensory experience, blending bold culinary artistry, live music, and expressive visuals in a night that moved through color, sound, and story. From a five-course tasting menu curated by Chef Lemar Farrington to live vocals, saxophone, and on-the-spot painting, every detail invited guests to taste, feel, and become part of the art.
TASTE OF FREEDOM
An intimate evening rooted in remembrance, culture, and culinary storytelling. Taste of Freedom invited guests to reflect on the power of legacy through shared meals, curated cocktails, and ancestral tribute. Set within a warm and intentional space, the experience honored the spirit of freedom through food, memory, and community.
TASTE OF BLK | LEGACY
A walk-through celebration of culture, creativity, and community. Taste of BLK | Legacy transformed Moore Square into a vibrant tribute to Black excellence—featuring local chefs, curated vendors, and hands-on activations. From floral bars to handcrafted treats, every detail honored the richness of our heritage and the joy of collective storytelling.
BLK MAN, YOU ARE ENOUGH
A healing-centered evening rooted in brotherhood, presence, and affirmation. Set against a backdrop of luxury and intentional design, BLK Man, You Are Enough created space for Black men to exhale, connect, and be reminded of their worth—through powerful conversation, curated experiences, and community.
SHE BLOOMS 2025
A soulful gathering rooted in sisterhood, storytelling, and self-care. From gardenside chats with local women entrepreneurs to wellness moments that nourish mind and body, She Blooms created space for women to reconnect, recharge, and show up as their full selves.

A three-day celebration during Black History Month that honored Black love —self-love, community love, and love for those around you in Raleigh - Durham, North Carolina.

A celebration of resilience, creativity, and community. The theme, "When Life Gives You Lemons”, symbolizes turning challenges into opportunities and making the best out of difficult situations, with a fresh atmosphere that reflects this positive mindset.
